I have enjoyed the pizza at Chez Maggy many times over the past two decades and it is always fresh from the oven, hot and delicious. Sitting upstairs overlooking the street and traffic below is a great experience of life in Iquitos. Their Hawaiian pizza is the best with ham, pineapple and mango, but they also have fantastic vegetarian and meat pizzas. Topped off with garlic bread and an Inca Kola or fresh fruit juice... What Chas R doesn't like about Pizzeria Chez Maggy los Maderos:
It's the same situation, businessmen come to a place of poverty and set up a restaurant, one in which locals will neither visit nor eat. It is a tourist place with prices that you would expect in New York City. Avoid this greed pit. View all feedback.
The clay ovens and homemade crust make good pizzas. Pasta dishes are also good. Price is right with fresh ingredients...
Chez Maggy is a chain that is all over the Amazon. I have eaten here in Pucallpa as well. The Pizza is Ok, The rest of the food is predictable and average at best.
This is a great little place for pizza, used both by locals and tourists alike. Try the frozen camu camu. It's delicious! The pizza is excellent and the price comparable.
We went there for dinner, two girls, not extremly hungry. We asked for pizza sizes and were quite ridiculous. We asked for a familiar between two (42 soles , we had complimentary bread as a piqueo but still though it wasn 't enough so ended up ordering side order of chips (5soles, loads and really good, homemade . Pizza was quick, tasted good but we could have have a familiar each easily. European prices for not european sizes I guess. All in all, if we get an urge for a pizza I guess I would go back :
