Description

Located in Ipswich, Choate's Bridge Pub captures the essence of a cozy neighborhood eatery. Diners have varying experiences, with highlights including fresh, flavorful seafood such as lobster rolls and fried clams, complemented by efficient and friendly service. While some dishes, like sirloin tips and rice pilaf, receive mixed reviews, the pub's inviting atmosphere and great prices keep patrons coming back. The limited menu, however, seems to offer consistent quality for pub classics. Overall, Choate's is well-regarded for its hearty portions and delightful ambiance, making it a must-visit for seafood lovers and pub fare enthusiasts alike.

Staff and service are great. Good draft beer selection, with something for everyone. Steak tips were delicious, big portion and plate overflowing with crispy fries. Included side salad was basic iceberg but loaded with cherry tomatoes, croutons, cheddar and just enough red onion -salad also overflowed the plate. Seemed a bit pricey for a pub, until it was placed on the bar in front of me!

Fantastic restaurant and pub! Be sure to try the Pub Burger or the popular pizza that everyone raves about. The waitstaff is outstanding, so be sure to tip generously. They only accept cash, but there’s an ATM available in the dining area.

Best clam chowder!! Kid-friendliness: It was crowded when we went and there was not a table to fit our party of 4 adults and 4 children. Our waitress was very helpful and set the kids up at one table and adults at another in the bar side and took such great care of us! The self serve popcorn helped too!!
