Yishen Vegetarian - Ipoh

On the way from kuala lumpur to penang. had kuey teow and kuey teow baked in eiergravur. they were great! the staff was friendly and helpful. reasonable prices. we visited her filiale in one utama, petaling jaya, but find that better. comes back when we visit ipoh.

I had visited this restaurant around the same time last year and it was recommended to me. However, my visit on a Thursday night this time around left me wishing I had chosen a different place for dinner. The food was not as good as it used to be - the roasted rice that I loved during my previous visit was soggy and oily. The yam basket fried vegetables were also extremely greasy, almost making me nauseous. I would advise going somewhere else. The staff, who had served us a year ago, were still helpful, but it was disappointing to see the lack of cleanliness in the restroom and soak station.

We stopped by on our way from Kuala Lumpur to Penang and tried the Fried Kuey Teow and Kuey Teow in egg gravy, both of which were excellent! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the prices were reasonable. We usually visit their branch in One Utama, Petaling Jaya, but found this location to be even better. We will definitely come back whenever we are in Ipoh.
