Was Anonym at Sun Marpoh a mag?
A popular place, with some people waiting in the queue. Food was tasty although my noodles were tossed in a little too thick sauce. The vegetarian dishes were great and service was super quick. Tried Sun Marpoh Restaurant in Ipoh Garden, but it was underwhelming despite its popularity. Food: Ordered: Curry Fish Head – Not good at all. The curry lacked depth, and the fish didn’t taste fresh. It was pre-cooked, which affected both texture and flavor. Definitely not worth trying. Claypot Salted Pork – Also pre-cooked, which took away the rich, smoky aroma expected from a claypot dish. The meat was slightly dry. Vegetables with Red Dates – The only dish that was okay, but nothing memorable. Since the food was not freshly prepared, it arrived quickly but at the expense of quality. Service: There were a lot of workers, so service was fast, but mainly because they served pre-made dishes. Efficient, but not impressive. Ambience: The restaurant was crowded and noisy, but the space was clean. Not ideal for a comfortable dining experience. Price: For the quality of food, especially the pre-cooked dishes, the price wasn’t justified. Overall: Overrated and not worth the hype. The curry fish was disappointing, and pre-cooked food ruined the experience. Will consider other shops instead.
