Submarine-themed bar located in Gateway Film Center, to the left of the popcorn and snack counter. Cozy area, perfect for grabbing a pre or post-movie beer. Happy hour means half-priced apps, too! View all feedback.
What Arika M doesn't like about The Torpedo Room:
I was excited to go here at first, but then was surprised to find that this place shows the movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea on loop, featuring Captain Nemo played by an actor in heavy blackface pretty uncomfortable to watch. Also, it took 25+ minutes for us to get an order of Ohio Nachos covered in room temp and congealing cheese sauce. View all feedback.
Such an interesting concept and even more thoughtfully executed. It really is a unique little bar that is built around a fun atmosphere for guests. The staff is also extremely nice and knowledgeable. I got an alcoholic slushies and got to sit next to a porthole I'm not sure many people get to say that's something they've experienced in their life so on experience alone 5/5 and once you add in that the drink I had was also immaculate I wish I could rate them higher
Great service and good food but a bit overpriced and the menu is too limited.
Good appetizers, don't care for the pizza. Nice atmosphere.
A very unique bar with quality cocktails and a decent beer selection. The interior design stands out above any other bar I've been to in the Columbus area. It being attached to the Gateway Film Center is an additional bonus to the place. The bar staff was really conversational and knowledgeable about their menu. Highly recommend it!
Good place to grab a nice cocktail or drink while you wait for your movie. The food isn't winning any awards but serves as good snack fair!
