If you are in the mood for a hot dog, this is your place. The variety on the vast menu is astounding. Cute restaurant, but it is small with just a few seats. Friendly service and fast carry out if you call in takeout. View all feedback.
What Celina C N doesn't like about Ohio's Favorite Cheese On A Stick:
Lots of fun options for a hot dog. Cute spot for a chill casual date or takeout or a meet-up with your bestie. The chili cheese dog was good, steak fries perfect, tots nice and crispy. The hot dog flavor seemed a bit diluted, like they were boiled maybe? Or maybe it's the Vienna brand? I prefer grilled all beef franks to preserve the juicy flavor inside, and that burst with that first bite. I can't remember the name... View all feedback.
Since they started stuffing wieners in faces since 2009, Dirty Frank 's has earned its place as a pillar of Columbus 's culinary culture and cemented itself as a cornerstone of the community for members of the working class and upper crust alike. Mayor Ginther himself is said to arrive at The Palace sweating, panting, and inexplicably shirtless each morning at dawn, waiting to start his day with no less than three filthy wieners I speculate they must be the CBJ, Clipper, and Crew dogs, but this assortment is pure conjecture . Further rumors hold that that the timing of this quickly growing wiener empire was no accident that it was instrumental in ending the 2008 housing crisis. There have also been wild accusations that, to this very day, a portion of EVERY Wiener Basket sold is donated to local non profits that give back to communities around the city oh ****, this one is actually true! . Inside the establishment 's bright exterior, patrons are greeted with an equally vibrant barroom decorated with an eclectic collection of pop culture portraiture ranging from legends of the WWE to the members of Van Halen, baseball hall of famers and Freddie Mercury 's glorious 'stache. There 's often a few spots at the bar, and most of the tables are large enough to seat parties of four. The codex of a menu is extensive yet accessible, with 97% of the core dog list available meatless and more than half optionally vegan. I 'm partial to the classic chili dog even their chili is veggie/vegan optional , but when I 'm feeling adventurous I 'll reach for the sauerkraut or something with some spice. In two years visiting this place, I 've never had a disappointing dog. Unless you 're getting The Birthday Suit or seeing what you can get up to with Your Wiener, there 's really no better deal than the aforementioned Wiener Basket $12.95 , which arrives ready for your mouth hole complete with a side of delicious hand cut fries. There 's also $6 Wiener Wednesday, in which you give up your freedom of choice in exchange for whatever they 're slanging that day a great deal for the budget conscious who aren 't too picky about which wiener they put in their mouth. If you 're a Chicagoan stumbling down 4th Street like a vampire slavering for your next suck of Old Style, you 'll find it and a decent Chicago dog here, alongside a well concocted menu of sub $10 cocktails and an assortment of both local and less than local brews. Give the Frostytop root beer on draft a try non alcoholic , or the funnel cake fries if you prefer to eat your sugar. The $4 draft PBR is the lifeblood of my group. THE BOTTOM LINE: you could do much worse if you 're in want of a lunch/casual dinner spot well positioned at the intersection of price and quality. There 's something here for just about everyone and despite all the innuendo in this review and the establishment 's salacious slogan, it 's actually relatively kid friendly too . I very much look forward to their collaboration with Ace of Cups! ... Additional notes: Dirty Frank 's is accessible via ramp directly from the sidewalk. Both of the two restrooms are almost always clean, no complaints there. If you come in the winter and it 's too crowded inside, the exterior seating is heated. There is metered parking on 4th Street and both side streets adjacent to DF 's block most if not all through ParkMobile/ParkColumbus , as well as paid lots nearby most seem to be Parking.com .
Service is good and fast, prices are reasonable, menu is pretty diverse and creative. The food itself was underwhelming. We got three dogs and no one was really impressed one of the buns was very soggy and falling apart. I made the mistake of getting the veggie dog, which had zero flavor and felt like I was eating styrofoam. The fries were so thin cut that sometimes we were just eating the actual fry outside with no actual potato inside. It was weird.
Great service . very nice and fast . we had our order to go. the food was amazing . so many different hotdogs to choose from ! i had the dirty sancho which was mac n cheese mix with brisket and corn salsa .. it's amazing . also had the Dognator which was a bacon wrapped hotdog with brisket and onion rings . it hit the spot . def have to come back and try others .

Each bite was a symphony of flavors, with the savory richness of the mac and cheese perfectly complementing the juicy hot dog nestled within a toasted bun. The crispy exterior of the mac and cheese added a delightful crunch, while the tangy sweetness of the berry cider provided a refreshing contrast. Eclectic and fun hot dog shop with a wide variety of creative selections. They have a nice draft list with non-alcoholic options including root beer on draft! Quick and friendly service. Server offered strong suggestions and knowledgeable about accommodating dietary restrictions. They offer tasty and fluffy gluten free buns. There is not a ton of seating inside, but we had no difficulty getting a table. Everything was delicious and would happily go back to continue to work through their extensive menu.
