Delicious food and amazing service!! I was delighted to see so many vegan options available and clearly stated in the menu. The food was flavorful and everyone at my table enjoyed what they chose. View all feedback.
What Scott Rivera doesn't like about Masala Indian Cusine:
Slow service, pretty good food. I recently visited for a Saturday lunch where my companion and I were only the second table seated. After being seated with a glass of water, we were left for over 15 minutes before our order being taken and over 30 minutes to get out food. Many other arrivals for lunch simply walked out after staff inattention. I'd hate to visit during a midweek lunch rush. I'll chalk my experience up... View all feedback.
The worst meal I've ever had in the States or in India. 1. The place is not clean 2. The people keep long faces and I wonder whether they are doing me a favor 3. Overcooked, cold, food, places like these are a shame for Indian Cuisine. 4. Over priced
I would have to be given Negative Rating but there wasn't any option. Ordered chicken biryani Spicy on doordash and called the restaurant to make sure it was spicy and then the lady over the call said it's gonna be and when tried to open the package firstly it was completely spilled due to improper packaging and then the food tasted like Tomato rice. When called the team to know what's the issue there was no proper response and in return the owner tried to show all the arrogance saying that it's like that and do whatever you want to do. Not at all recommended if you are trying to have a peaceful and flavorful food.
Delicious Indian food. We did the lunch buffet, and it was as good as any Indian food we'd ever had. Plus, they had legit chai tea and mango lassi, which was included as part of the buffet. We will definitely stop here again, next time we're in Iowa City.
From our experience, this is the best Indian food in Iowa City. The spinach curry for the buffet was excellent and when we let them know supplies were running low, they immediately refilled it. Good desserts, masala tea, and mango lassies (all part of buffet as well. Seating consisted of both small tables and booths that the staff quickly cleaned as soon as customers left. Service (refilling water, etc. was prompt. I would strongly recommend if you are staying in Iowa City.
!! PLEASE DON'T GO THERE!! I have been to many Indian restaurants world over outside India. Honestly, this is the worst and pathetic Indian buffet restaurant I have ever witnessed. Their seating and food stand are really old and unhygienic. Regarding food quality they don't have any appetizers in the buffet, that too on the weekends. They don't refill anything (any of the curries), even if you bring it to their notice. Bad service seems like they don't care about anything .
