We stopped by for brunch and it was lovely-- great service, reasonable prices, and yummy food. We had the breakfast special of croissants and bread with jam and cheese and coffee. Their sweets inside looked amazing too! Nicest waiter and mostly local customers who all seemed to know each other. Free wifi and nice bathrooms too! Would recommend! View all feedback.
Very comfortable café set in beautiful location , manned by staff who know what customer care is all about. Cakes to die for and chocolates-well-say no more
We were around 26°F (-3°C) in the morning and we had booked a Ski tour. We had to have a nice breakfast. As the Mexican I am we use to have a solid breakfast (Egg, pancakes, or something heavy). But in Europe is almost imposible. So we asked a local where to have a nice breakfast and they told me to come to Rieder. Its amazing how good the chocolate is. I ordered a cold chocolate, a ham and cheese mini ham and swiss cheese baguete and a pastrie wth hazelnuts. Everything was perfect.
Great homey sweets, very friendly staff and cozy coffee place! Try the home-made hot chocolate, it is the best. A definite visit in my next trip to Interlaken.
It is a small tea room the food is excellent it serves good coffee and hot chocolate. in the winter you can sit out side with a rug over your knees to keep warm while you have a drink also if you like your tea they have a good selection of Teas and also cakes and pastries
While we’ve been in Switzerland, we’ve developed a taste for a dessert called Coupe Nesselrode. It’s a delicious concoction based on meringue, ice cream, and industrial quantities of chestnut puree topped with cream. In the interests of Science, we tried this dessert in a number of places, but we kept coming back to the Confiserie Rieder. They make the best Coupe Nesselrode in Interlaken, possibly the best in the Known Universe.
