Over all, w... read more Joyful place, charming and attentive service, music not too loud, a great variety of different drinks and not too expensive for being in Interlaken. Over all, we had a good time and did the right thing when we decided to stop there not knowing the place.

Dieses angeblich älteste Pub der Schweiz befand sich s... read more Gedacht als Ersatz des Pubs, welches sich im "Splendid"-Komplex, vis-à-vis "Metropole" am Höheweg befand. Dieses angeblich älteste Pub der Schweiz befand sich strategisch optimal am Anfang des sog. "Schlauches", von wo man Kommen und Gehen Einheimischer und Touristen sehr gut überblicken konnte.Das Ersatzlokal befindet sich jedoch ein bisschen versteckt in einem rückwärtigen, weniger attraktiven Gebiet von Interlaken. Nur per Zufall kam ich dort vorbei. Innen jedoch sieht es durchaus gemütlich aus, ein bisschen rustikal. Vorallem Gäste, die sich kennen und per Du stehen, waren dort. Auch die Barmaid war sehr unkompliziert und gesprächsfreudig. Eine typische Apéro-Bar, wo vorallem viel Alkohol-haltiges getrunken wird. Durchaus ein erfreuliches Lokal, welches aber das ehemalige Pub im Hotel "Splendid" nicht zu ersetzen vermag.

Really pleased to find a new Buddy's has opened, smaller but with the same friendly clientele and good beer choice.

The old guard is missing, but not much has changed.
