Sitzwohl - Bar - Innsbruck

If you want superb food, service and ambiance, go to Sitzwohl Restaurant in Innsbruck, Austria. Our server Russell recommended a traditional Austrian dish called Beuschel which was amazing. The Coq au vin with Roquefort dumplings was also amazing!! Russell recommended a red wine, Zenato Valpolicella Ripassa which was the best wine my brother has tasted on this trip! We were served a variety of breads with a choice of butter, shredded beef and truffle spread and olive oil while waiting for our main meal. The spread was very good. The menu was varied and well priced. Both Russell and the other server named Lee made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed our chats with them. We were even invited to meet the chef. She was so nice and really appreciate us taking the time to tell her how amazing we thought our meal was. If you are ever in Innsbruck, Austria this is a must stop, Thank you for making our dining experience so special!!

Picked this restaurant last minute after some internet research and was very glad we did! Chose the five course menu €78pp and loved every single course! Fine dining at its best relaxed atmosphere but with superb service and delicious food. Cervice seabass and guacamole/quail consommé/lobster ravioli/venison/sacher bomb every one presented beautifully and full of beautiful flavours. Only here for a week but would happily come again if we could! Bravo!!

Went here for a business dinner and ...wow, what a business dinner we had. The Ambiance of this restaurant is great, and the service is great too.They cook just a bit different, you do see it when you look on their online menu. (Yes the website is fine too) Surprising dishes which taste perfect. Their wine list is impressive and there are a lot of local Austrian wines avaolable. When you want to surprise yourself and or your partner for a nice evening, then visit this place.

Only because it seemed to be an Austrian classic restaurant (which would have been nice). Instead it serves out of the ordinary cuisine to suit any invaded palate. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff complement well prepared and unpretentious dishes. Gluten free bread option, instead of being just cake-like slices is pappadums! Brilliant idea. Starters of chicken 'oysters" with caesar- like salad, and chilled bisque with prawn skewer just excellent. The accompaniments for the bread were butter, olive oil, and feta with tomato. Main courses of zander with green beans and new potatoes and pata negra; guinea fowl with pistachios and cucumber/cucumber relish kept up the standard. Wine list of Austrian and other wines complements the food perfectly.First appearance of innsbruck man.

A well thought out restaurant from decor to soft background music with excellent staff who were just perfect for help on menu items and level of service.Wife and I had entree mains and one dessert with beers for €109 with excellent quality fresh ingredients.Just perfect for a fine dining experience.
