Buren Wirt - Innsbruck

We stayed a week in Innsbruck and visited this facility twice! Amazing food and service! Surely the effort to get there is worth it! Great portions, excellent value and a truly unforgettable experience! Away from the tourist route but authentic and a real treat! Maria took care of us so well, excellent recommendations! Do not miss this great experience!!

This can be your place if you are looking for traditional dishes of Tyrolean cuisine served in an authentic Austrian pub. Food was good and service was nice, but really slow. It is a strange and quiet place where you could hardly find tourists. Smoking is allowed in one of their rooms that disturb when the pub is really crowded.

Our Airbnb host recommended this place as he was near where we stayed. This was definitely the highlight of our trip and I'm just disappointed that we haven't gone earlier during our trip! The service there was very friendly and they were very accommodating as we did not speak much German and offered us a translated English menu. They were so beautiful and helpful when they try to choose food and drinks. The dishes are massive and delicious. Very recommended!!

Poor separation of the non smokers section from smokers! You are surrounded by smoke in the entire restaurant this is no place to bring children or pregnant women. Their food selection did not amaze us either, it is basically fried meat (in our case the liver was even half raw inside and had to be returned). And yes, I am aware austrian cuisine is focussed on meat but it hurts no one to have some vegetarian choices on the menu or have a bit more variety in side dishes (beside potato salad).

This restaurant has a faithful following, and the Quality of food is quite good! We went on an evening when the only seats left were smoking. It was difficult as I have asthma, and the children did not like the smoke. I recommend an early seating time for families, and the food is very good!
