Contribute Feedback What Volker Pieper likes about China Lotos:
I'm usually not a big fan of Chinese restaurants that tend to feel mass produced, but this one we tried to dinner was very good with some distinctive, spicy, well cooked and with fast service. none of the normal bland cantonese. very good and also great prices. it is worth looking. What Bimla Bava doesn't like about China Lotos:
Die Ente war zwar knusprig, jedoch nur weil sie zu lange in der Fritteuse gebadet wurde. Das Essen war mehr als nur enttäuschend und jeder Asienkenner findet hier keine Ähnlichkeit mit chinesischem Essen! View all feedback.
This is my first review on trip advisor, where even though the above all points was low I did not manage to say something good about the place. first I was pulled by promise of the Chinese hotpot to the place, a meal that can be taken slowly and did not require that the staff to do much other than to supply the brotte and the items to cook. the table I had shown was at the door of the door, but gave a good view of the kitchen bar. a group of 7 Chinese students were just served and 2 other tables of Chinese people were also in the resturant. a good sign I thought. After 5 minutes a menu was taken, and I could find they did 4 hotpot sauces. I decided that the hottest (spics) was what I wanted, as this is the one my friend usually does. I waited 15 minutes before the waitress. After asking for hotpot, she pointed out that the resturant was too busy to do the hot pot and that I should get something else. she hurried before I could order a drink, so I returned to get what I wanted to eat. I decided to garnel and a chicken dish with rice. there were another 20 minutes before she finally took my order when she had tried to keep her children under control and eat in a very haphazard fashion. the other waitress seemed to react only when asked. my drink order came without ice in the koks and the bottle of beer warm and from different brands to menu. I had asked that the dumpliings and the main course were brought together, but that didn't happen. the dumplings were small and simply lined with soy, and I had to ask for chilli oil that was brought and once I was done, the dumplings were taken away instead of leaving it if I wanted more with my main course. 30 minutes later my main course arrived, but only after the waitress came past my table, I tried to find twice who had ordered it. they then spent 15 minutes the bills for 2 other tables before I asked them where my rice was, this came out, but no bowl and was told to use the plate that had my knife and fork coming. no excuse for why the delay and so I ate warm rice with cold chicken plate. I had asked the other waitress for my drinks, but she forgot that while she tried to sort some water for a table that had waited 30 minutes. the most important waitress then ran and 2 customers who had waited for 30 to order that it was very busy because they were only restful open to christmas eve (not true, I discovered after going around the opposite) I left 2 hours after entering very relaxed. number of customers served while there were 15, 2 servier staff, 2 chefs (which looked very cool) so that not busy in my opinion. food of mediocre standard because of the stamina. service poor and rude and I will not even give them a second chance.
The restaurant is located on the upper floor without public elevator (they need a key to the elevator. we went there to the lunch buffet. it cost 7.9€ per person who is very expensive with what they offer. most foods were just a bit fried, but they were all soft. they ran out of something to eat, but there was no refill, even though I haven't taken anything from the line yet. eating tasted terrible and they used bad quality meat/vegetable. there is a court of sushi/maki made from cheap geisel. sushi didn't look very fresh and had fries about the court. it looked rather disgusting. I heard the other guests order water and the restaurant waitress/owner said it costs 1.20 or 1.50€ (I don't remember, I'm sorry, while the other restaurant gives them to tap water for free or calculate them only at 30cents. they got separate smoking and non-smoking area, but the smoke odour is throughout the non-smoking area. the waitress spoke to another staff and they were very loud. security protection
