We chose to dine here based on the positive reviews, but we should have suspected that the food wouldn't be fresh after hearing the microwave beeping. The meat in the stuffed Yorkshire pudding tasted like it had come straight from the microwave and was quite chewy. The fish and chips were also a letdown; the fish was very dry and the batter overly greasy, while the fries seemed like they had been reheated. As for my spouse's sirloin, the only positive note he could share was that the mashed potatoes were decent. Overall, it was a disappointing meal, and we regretted our choice for dinner. We definitely won’t be returning.

We had an incredible dinner at this restaurant, and I regretted not taking any photos! I had a seafood risotto special that featured grilled octopus, clams, mussels, and a stunning piece of either jumbo shrimp or a small lobster tail on top (I couldn't quite tell, but it was cooked to perfection!). Two of us enjoyed salmon with a honey maple butter sauce, my daughter had the pappardelle bolognese, and my mom opted for the escargot. The Caesar salad was delicious, and each of us indulged in a homemade dessert created by the owner, who also happens to be the mayor of the town and makes all the pies. Yum!

This small restaurant is perfect for those who couldn’t make reservations anywhere else during their holiday at Friday Harbour. The food was decent, and the charming little house with its cozy decor created a welcoming atmosphere. It was just what we needed!

Pleasant surprise and definitely worth a return visit. Small cottage like dining atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of a large metropolitan area. Reasonably sized menu with quality food offerings at a fair price. Had the feel of a real neighbourhood pub. Worth checking out.

Fantastic restaurant because: dan the owner is friendly and accommodating. Sheila our waitress was perfect efficient, friendly, helpful and attentive. The menu was large enough not to be limiting but small enough not to be over whelming. The order was taken timeously and food delivered within a short time and was hot plus all brought at the same time. My friends had fish and chips which they loved even compared to other restaurants where they've eaten fish and chips. Another friend had liver and onions which i sampled and it was excellent. I had the burger which was cooked to perfection. It was juicy, excellent quality meat and had all the toppings. The fries were really outstanding.
