Super 8 took over this motel and totally Renewed and Upgraded it to one of the Best places to stay at in Innisfail. Attached to the Super 8 lobby is The Stagecoach Restaurant and Lounge which serves some of the Best Chinese and Western Cuisine Meals Ever. While we were there watching NHL Playoffs, we noticed Several Locals and Rural people ordering food to take out. Lots of VLTs if you like that sort of thing. Now we... View all feedback.
What Alain Hamon doesn't like about Highwayman Motor Inn:
No iced tea, can't order some things on the menu, a Blt is 10.00 and horrible , you don't even get a full serving of fries with your meal, very expensive food, very cheap portions . View all feedback.
Good Chinese buffet in the evening. The private room was divided from the rest of the restaurant by an attractive glass wall. Service was suitably attentive and the owner and server were very patient with our meeting that ran about an hour later than they were open.
Our group chose to dine at the hotel restaurant instead of going out, but we were greeted by a reluctant and unhelpful staff member. The service was incredibly slow and most of our orders were incorrect. The buffet had limited options and the food seemed stale. Overall, not recommended.
This place is fantastic. I came up here for work in Olds, and let me tell you the food from this restaurant is what keeps me going on our hectic jobsite. The hotel itself is average, friendly staff, fairly clean, etc. but the restaurant is what will make me come back. I've only tried "same old" food so far, but considering the level of professionalism displayed in preparing these dishes, I look forward to experimenting with the vast amount of menu choices in the future. 5 stars, bravo!Cale, Lethbridge.
We stayed in the adjoining hotel for a period of 6 weeks. The food and service at this restaurant was consistently good enough to cause us very little need to seek out other eating establishments in Innisfail. The buffet served for several meals per week allowed us to choose a wide variety of delicious choices including western and Chinese food. The staff were consistently more than pleasant and the couple who run the restaurant made us feel very at home. The reasonable prices were appreciated. The steak sandwich which they often feature as a special was especially well done comparing favourably against steaks for which we have paid more than twice the price. We intend to return to the Highwayman many times.
This is the only restaurant in town that offers both a lunch and dinner buffet. They have a great selection of fresh food that is presented hot and clean. The prices are also very reasonable.
