Schanzer Steakhouse - Ingolstadt

One could eat there but has nothing to do with a steakhouse as it is known other where in the world. Place is very narrow and no air circulation. The cloth takes all the bad smell of the cooking. Must be renovated.

Lives up to all the previous reviews, great food, great atmosphere, slight language barrier but nothing that couldn't be sorted.

I recently took my Audi to Ingolstadt for major servicing, having been disappointed by the lack of attention and the poor service quality received in Aix en Provence. My partner and I stopped at the Schanzer Steakhaus for dinner. Very gemutlich (pleasant & welcoming) atmosphere. Lots of choice and some great German white wines.

They say this is the best stake house in town so we gave it a try.It was really crowded and we hardly could get a table when we booked a week in advance.We took the beefstake of the house with grilled vegetables. The meat was properly grilled however the taste was not smt. that you would expect from "the" best stake in town. Was Good but lacked just a bit of flavour to be perfect.Vegetable was not good at all so rather take smt. else.

We have visited this place with some colleagues. my filletsteak was excellent, came with a cob of corn and a sauce from a local cheese. i can recommend this place. reservation is also recommended.
