I was very impressed by this restaurant- especially because they had many vegetarian dishes which was great for me! I have nothing but good things to say! Good food, good service etc. The restaurant was a bit small but it was fine for us as...it was a weekday! Definitely recommend the Tom Yum Soup and the Thai yellow curry! View all feedback.
What Godfrey Bode doesn't like about Goldener Drache:
I was there with my friend and we were here and we're saying we know what we like. the me u has over 170 courts and the owner has no warning about them. I wanted to change rinds for rice, that was not... maybe he advised me a dish with fish, even though I wanted bark. the food was terrible at the end and the service was actually something I never experienced! That is a small place held by an Asian guy. Eating is standard Asian, nothing special, but it is delicious and not expensive.

Been here several times and it is always a great pleasure! I love the food, the athmosphere and simply everything! The own er is the lovliest person on planet earth! If you are looking for a great culinary expetience in Ingolstadt this is the place...to go!
We were a luncheon party of 5 who had a variety of soup, fried rice, fried noodle, chicken, and seafood dishes. The menu offers a ridiculous number of choices; something like 200. My concern was how quickly could a menu item be prepared; and how...much had to be done in advance, which might compromise the food quality. My concerns were completely unfounded. The wait for our food was not overly long. Everything was delivered piping hot to the table. Each dish came out separately but only separated by a minute or two. I personally had a fried noodle seafood dish that included plenty of seafood. Another diner had what appeared to be an entire chicken breast sliced on top of his entree. Other reviews mention a dearth of meat and dishes not served at the correct temperature. That was not our experience at all. I am not qualified to judge the authenticity of the food, however, everyone enjoyed their food. I thought that the prices were quite economical for the quantity and quality of the food we received.
Worst asian restaurantI've every been to. They are so proud that they have over 200 different dishes on their menue, but are not very flexible if you want one dish with tofu instead of meat. Instead you get forced to find something that's similiar (not...the same, because the card is a mess) from the vegetarian menue. Not to mention that it is the worst thing for a restaurant to have 200 dishes on their card. But nevermind, as long as the food is good. ... Which it wasn't. I picked my favourite vietnamese dish that I have eaten in different Vietnamese restaurants all over Hamburg, where I live, and cooked myself countless times(Bun Bo Xao Xa), because the owner is Vietnamese so hell, he should know, right?. But the dish was horrible. It was very oily and I got really bad stomach ache afterwards. Never again will I eat there. The fried duck seems to be good there, but that is far from authentic vietnamese. Why is it so hard to find an asian restaurant that served authentic thai/vietnamese/chinese food in Ingolstadt? Btw, my father ate a fishsoup, in which there was no fish but surimi. I had a Tom Kha Soup as Starters but it was far from what a Tom Kha Soup should be. A shame that the owner was really really nice. Maybe lose around 170 dishes and focus on your 30 best. TLDR: Maybe ok, if you want German Chinese Food, horrible if you want authentic thai/vietnamese food. (Sorry for crappy english)
