El Vaquero - Inglewood

I love this stand , I always got tripa, lengua , and al pastors. I was sad to see that they are not there anymore! Does anyone know where they set up now ???

I don't usually trust taco stands like this for obvious reason but this place was really good!

Thought they had some amazing salsa, but the actual tacos weren't great. The asada, carnitas, and chorizo were kind of dry and lacked flavor. The tortillas were made fresh, but I still didn't think it made much of a difference. Got hard very quickly. I also felt the wait was very long for a few tacos. About 20 minutes or so. I want to come back one more time and try the mulitas, but with the meat being bland I don't expect any wonders. Greatest taco stand ever. Hand made tortillas and a big variety of tacos meats. Never tried the burritos but I'm sure they are great as well. The cucumbers dipped in salsa are great but they are not for the faint of heart as they are spicy. If you ever make your way into Lennox I highly recommend these dollar tacos.

Not sure why I never thought of writing a review, I always have come here. Tortillas are hand made. The Bomb! Meat had the right flavor. Delicious. Ordered 4 tacos de buche (beef tripe) and ended up ordering 3 more. Added the cilantro and onion along with green salsa for the extra juicy flavor. Diced carrots that are swimming in a pool of jalapeños. 3 different salsas you can savor from and plus the lemons. The meat was cooked just right, not too hard and not too soft. Just the right temperature and cooked right. I definitely recommend this truck, which is located in front of Top Valu Market on Hawthorne Bl. Added note, the white astro van behind this lunch truck, sells tamales and champurrado. Ask for the lady Patty.
