This is the best spot for a quick meal in Inglewood. Most nights, we needed to grab something to eat, and the option to order takeout was very convenient. The burgers were possibly the best we've had in a long time, and the fries were excellent as well. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Empire State:
While our waitress was very apologetic, which is why I rate it three stars instead of two, the bar manager—who appeared to be an older gentleman, perhaps named Steve—didn't seem welcoming. From the moment we suggested we wanted a table and a meal, his attitude suggested that he wasn’t particularly interested in accommodating us. Given his demeanor, I didn’t even bother to inquire about the drink that was supposed to... View all feedback.
Which is for a rude unwilling person of publican. we asked for a meal and abruptly was said that we booked, it is celebrating what they expect. After we asked if we could sit outside, he said, yes, they can or there is an inside courtyard. Why didn't we just say that? all the other meals are good, but I got a roast of the day, but I think it was heated yesterday. I have starved. will not be back when he's still running the place.
Stopped in while passing through. Will definitely come back again. The meals were huge. I don't think anyone ever goes home from this place still hungry.
Excellent dinner at a quaint local pub. Was really busy, but staff all really nice. 3 of our group had steak….all were huge and tasty, with very generous sides. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
Stopped into this classic Aussie country pub in Inglewood for lunch on the drive from Mildure to Melbourne. Whilst it is a very old school pub the rissoles with veggies, mash and gravy was actually quite tasty. Kerrys crumbed lamb chops scored quite highly to. The ambiance is a bit 70s but hey, these places are closing up and there won't be any around in another decade
Stopped in for dinner after long day of driving. Called ahead as it was a Monday and wanted to make sure kitchen would be open when we arrived. They were. Had yummy risolles with mash, my partner had a saucey homemade lasagna. Service was efficient and drinks were a good deal. Doubles as a bottle shop so took some wine for back at the motel. Classic aussie roadside hotel/pub.
