Lovely food and a menu with so many things I could have ordered. Service was very good without being over attentive. Lovely surroundings although not buzzing when we arrived but it was an off-peak Saturday and we were close to last orders so several others may have already left by the time we got there. This restaurant had a lot of potential based on the reviews. Unfortunately, the main dishes were disappointing; two out of the four ingredients in the dish we chose were missing. The side of vegetables was completely unseasoned and tasted like plain boiled vegetables! The risotto in the main dish was overcooked and had a gluey texture. Literally everything was faultless, the cocktail we had pre meal was tasty, the food was delicious, decore and ambience was relaxed and stylish, staff very friendly and all at exceptional value...

Loved the first visit: two steak and ale pies, sea bass and a risotto to rave about, so we went back the very next evening and this time selected the lamb shank (wow! , pie again and chicken. Oh, and the beer too of course!
