We will ever ever set foot in TU MADRES again ! We believe in supporting our local restaurants in La Quinta but in all our years of dining out the HEAD hostess wins the prize as the WORST SERVICE award ever! Sunday we had reservation at 5 pm. We had 5 people and could not fit at the table we were given. Head Hostess couldn’t have been less interested in helping us. We waited at front desk for 15 minutes for what we thought would be one of the open bigger tables or booths… during that time a party of 3 came in and head hostess sat them at a big booth. The junior hostess told us we could have the open bigger both once it was cleaned off. OH NOOOO…HEAD Hostess would have None OF THAT and took us BACK to the SAME table we originally couldn’t fit in which she told us “we either take it or we will come off reservation list and have to wait till unreserved table opens”. I couldn’t make this up…it was SO BIZARRE..I though restaurants wanted repeat local customer???

The hostess was impolite and the food was served cold. I will not return to this restaurant.

The restaurant did not open on time and the food was bland. My quesadilla was burnt and the salt shaker was empty. The food was also served cold. It was a birthday celebration and I was extremely disappointed.

I became ill after eating dinner at this restaurant. The menus were dirty, the table was not clean, and the front entrance was messy with outdoor heaters and dirty dishes.
