What Aiden Kang doesn't like about Watami Sushi:
The sushi was reasonably priced, but the quality left something to be desired. The fish didn't appear very fresh, and there was an overwhelming amount of rice, which made it difficult to enjoy— I had to use my chopsticks to separate the pieces! Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience. Food: 3/5 View all feedback.
We had great service. The food was amazing. It was fast and tasty. Not much more to ask for on a Friday night!Parking: It is in the back. Drive around
Watami sushi is our favorite sushi place in the Broad Ripple area, but today we had a bad customer experience. Normally we order our sushi to go and everything goes smoothly. Today I noticed they had a new website to order food on and many of the prices were cheaper which was great to see! When we went to pay in the drive thru our price was more than what the email confirmation showed. They had us pay more for some of the rolls we got once we got to the window and they couldn't give us a reason why they weren't honoring their online prices. Overall it seemed very dishonest that we put in an order for a certain price and then told we have to pay more if we actually want it.
Hi, I'm a local, and I eat at Watami regularly, usually the Pendleton Pike location. It's a go-to spot for quality sushi at an affordable price. The Broadripple location was just as good.Interior decor is also ON POINT ??It's $27 for all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi, and there is a lot more than just sushi included. You've got appetizers (crab ragoon, miso soup, seaweed salad, dumplings) and hot foods like udon, fried rice, fried udon, tempura, chicken katsu).OK, BUT LETS TALK SUSHI ? They have the option for sashimi. This is the /only/ AYCE sushi place that I know that offers sashimi in Indy. I go crazy on the salmon sashimi and it has always tasted fresh. There are also nigiri, hand rolls, regular rolls and specialty rolls to order from.Service was a little slower at this location, but it is also busier in Broadripple compared to Pendleton.PRO TIP: Got a birthday? Tell them and they'll bring you a bday plate! They take the spicy girl roll and form a little cake with it! ?Vegetarian options: You can definitely find vegetarian sushi rolls and such here.Parking: Limited parking. There is a small lot in the back that's free but it fills up. There's also a side street that you can parallel park at.
Been to Watami multiple times and always appreciate the all you can eat option. The house salad is delish, the seaweed salad also delish, crab rangoon yes... as far as the sushi, my advice is to stick with the fancier rolls versus the simple spicy tuna, Philadelphia roll, etc. I wish I could recall the name of the roll in the bottom right corner of my picture because that was our favorite. But yeah... I'd say skip the basic simple rolls. Xoxo,Is this thing on?
I’ve been here several times now and the sushi is amazing every time!! We always order the all you can eat menu and the value is incredible. If you can eat a lot, I recommended it! The quality of the fish is great, and the all you can eat menu also includes things like appetizers, cooked items and dessert. I’ll be coming back every weekend!
