Vinea - Indianapolis
Vinea
Description
Located in the concourse before security at Indianapolis airport, this casual wine-and-beer bar is a convenient spot for pre‑flight drinks and quick bites. Comfortable seating and a low-key atmosphere make it good for conversation; sandwiches, wraps and small plates (olives, chips) are generally decent. Drinks include local drafts and wines. Service is inconsistent — some staff are friendly while other visits report slow, inattentive or rude service and occasional missing plates or condiments — and prices reflect its airport setting.

We typically arrive at the airport a bit early, so it's nice to have this spot for a quick drink before our flight. I appreciate its convenient location, making it easy to enjoy with my chauffeur, who happens to be my dad. On my last visit, I tried the grilled chicken sandwich, which was surprisingly tasty—with fresh tomatoes, tender chicken, and a generous portion. It came with a side of crispy chips. My dad opted for a local draft IPA. Overall, it’s as good as it gets for airport food and atmosphere!
I missed my flight and ended up waiting for 6 hours, which led to a bit of a chicken showdown and some design choices. The service was excellent, and the bartender was quite friendly. The wrap I had was above average, and the beers were cold and flavorful. While the selection isn’t extensive, it’s adequate. Overall, I didn't find much reason to recommend this place.
My wife and I had a lovely Merlot here before our flight to Las Vegas. The service was excellent!
Terrible service. We sat at a table for 10 minutes and nobody showed us to serve. When I went to the bar and asked, they said it was bar service, only one sign can help). And then another server said, “You don’t have to eat here. Good to know! I did my business elsewhere. Rupee
