I went during the afternoon and the restaurant was quiet. They were able to seat us at least 6 feet apart from each other and the food arrived quickly. I miss the old potato skins, but everything else was good. The wait staff allowed me to try multiple sauces for my chicken wings. The cocktails with alcohol are now served in smaller portions. Let 's see, when we arrived at our designated time, there was no one waiting in the waiting area and several empty tables within view, but we were told that there was a 30 minute wait. When we explained that we 'd reserved a table, the hostess rolled her eyes, gave us a dirty look and told her co-worker that she was so over open table . At that point, I was ready to leave. But my husband felt more forgiving and we we were seated pretty quickly by the hostess with the bad attitude, so we stayed. We ate a decent meal, and when we went to pay the bill, the waiter very comfortably slipped my husband 's credit card into his apron. When he came back with the check to sign, none of us noticed that the card was not with it. We paid, and went to a movie. When we got home we realized we didn 't have the credit card, called Chase and found out that in less than 3 hours, someone went on a $3,500 tennis shoe and sporting goods shopping spree at the mall behind the restaurant. We called and spoke with a very nice manager (who has never followed up) who said that our waiter told her that some other guests just happened to see some teenagers swipe the bill folder along with his tip, darn it, off our empty table. You figure it out. We 'll not be going back.
When we mentioned we had reservations the hostess said that she needed to see the e-mail confirming our reservations. We were taken back by this and looked around and they had plenty of tables (so really we did not need reservations). I looked at my husband and he said he left his phone at home. I asked why are we needing to show the confirmation and she said that just anyone can come in and say they have reservations or look on their screen and see the last name. I would suggest if you make reservations to carry your phone. Food was ok and we had a waiter that was new so we were patient with him knowing how the first week can be.
The floor was wet when we arrived. Although they had caution signs out, it was slippery and we had two people in their 70's and someone with recent knee replacements so certainly less than ideal. We arrived around 11:45 am so there weren't very many tables yet. Our food still took a half an hour to arrive. It was certainly edible but nothing special and the iced tea may as well have been water. Overall, not as good as we expected.
Seated in a timely manner, it just took forever for the food to arrive.
We confirmed our reservation through Open Table but when we arrived at the restaurant we were told that they do not take reservations from Open Table or by phone. Our waiter was very professional; unfortunately he was hampered by a VERY slow kitchen. Neither of our dinner orders were correct a steak ordered rate was served well done and the steak and ribs combo was served without the steak. The waiter returned the dinners and brought us what we had ordered. The restaurant seemed disorganize in that the waitstaff and bussers were speed walking from the dining area to the kitchen without much food getting served. The restaurants as. It crowded so the delays weren’t caused by a surge in diners. I doubt we will return; I hope the waiter will move to a restaurant that will be worthy of his competence.
