Description

Tucked into Fountain Square, this veteran-owned distillery-bar is a cozy, drink-forward gem. Inventive cocktails and house spirits — from smoky 'Shmallow' bourbon to curated flights — steal the show, served by friendly, attentive staff in a relaxed, upscale-casual setting. Small but well-executed food options, trivia nights, seasonal outdoor seating and bottles to take home round out the appeal. Expect occasional stockouts and minor bar cleanliness hiccups, but overall it’s a welcoming spot for cocktail lovers, dog owners and casual evenings out.

Imagine this: You're gathered around a bonfire, enjoying a cold drink with friends while roasting marshmallows over a roaring fire. Now picture a s'more that hits you as hard as that cold drink. That's precisely how Hotel Tango Distillery's 'Shmallow bourbon tastes. They've somehow captured the smoky essence of a bonfire s'more in this bourbon. Yes, I'm at the bar writing this because it's just THAT incredible. I will definitely be ordering some online! Also, thank you for your service!

This place is simply amazing. The story of how it started and the meaning behind its name are definitely worth a read. The drinks are consistently exceptional, and the atmosphere in the Fountain Square area is unique and inviting. I usually find a cozy couch to relax on while enjoying one of their many craft cocktails. You can't go wrong with an Old Fashioned, and I love picking up a few of HT's own spirits to take home and add to my personal bar. It's a fantastic spot with wonderful people.

Went on a whim on a Tuesday…. $6 vodka tonic drinks and trivia starting at 7pm. Great start. Beyond the basic drinks I had, their drink menu was creative and thorough. I wouldn’t say they intend for food to be their specialty but the chicken basil pizza I had was great. The few items they have, they seem to do very well. The atmosphere was laid back and welcoming. Decorated cozy and upscale without absurd prices. Veteran owned, dog friendly. Keith was attentive and certainly took care of us. I’d love to come back for brunch or during the summer when it seems they will have outside seating. Highly recommend based on this first experience!

The house-made spirits lead to an excellent cocktail menu, complemented by friendly and knowledgeable staff.
