I realllllllllllllllllllly wanted to like this place! I was SO excited to find a homemade soup restaurant while we were traveling on the road! All I wanted and was craving was some homemade soup.....so I got three different kinds...and they were all okay . I was really disappointed. They weren 't really much better than the batches your local grocer makes or even maybe Kwik Trip. I 'm not sure if it 's because we ordered them for delivery and didn 't get them immediately to eat, but with soup, that shouldn 't really matter. I 'm not sure. It 's not like it was bad soup, it was edible and we ate it..slowly, less excitedly than we 'd hoped, but they weren 't bad. We were just passing through, but sadly, I 'm not sure I 'd order from here again.....and it hurts my heart! Love the concept though!

Good was excellent. When I saw they made a dozen soups daily I had to go. Their buffalo soup is fantastic and I would strongly recommend getting it. It's just like Duffs soup from Buffalo NY.Food: 5/5

I wish zero stars were an option. Absolutely rude and incompetent staff. I was on a walk at the Monument Circle with my tiny (3.5 lb. dog and I wanted to order a sandwich to go. I held my tiny dog securely in my arms and went to the counter. The man at the counter took my order and took my payment. His co-worker then got to work on making the sandwich. Then the man, in a very rude tone, told me, Never bring that dog in here again. I was dumbfounded. My tiny dog was securely in my arms, was not causing a commotion in any way, and was nowhere near the food or other customers. I simply wanted to order a sandwich to go. I asked for my money back and the j wanted to argue with me about that. Forget about this place. There are too many nice places downtown run by nice people. Don 't waste your time and money on this dump.

I used to be a frequent visitor in person of this soup shop when I worked downtown and could talk about how much I enjoyed going here at that time (I miss you Buffalo Nickel and the focaccia bread). But I haven't worked downtown in about 3 years so I want to spend the main part of my review focusing on my experience with Small Batch Soup since they added delivery as a pivot during the pandemic.They do frozen soup delivery to the donut counties, the counties surrounding Marion and let me tell you, it is the BEST. There is such a wide variety of soups available and it is a super easy dinner option on busy evenings. The soups come in different size options so you can choose whta works best for you and your family. They are delicious and you're supporting a local biz, win win! I haven't had a bad soup but my all time favorite is still their chicken velvet, start there if you're not sure! They even have a selection of bread and a couple of cookie dough option.They also have a family meal deal that they will deliver which is soup, salad and bread and the salads are great too! I am grateful to them that they were such a delicious delivery option when everything was shut down and I am glad I am still able to support them even though I do not work next door anymore.

Tried buffalo chicken panini. It's weekday lunch time. Not crowded and got my order in less than 10 min. Good flavor and moderate portion. Will definitely try other offerings as well.
