Peking - Indianapolis
Peking
Description
Hidden local favorite, this unassuming Chinese spot draws a loyal following for consistently fresh, flavorful dishes—beef and broccoli, shrimp fried rice and chicken lo mein earn regular praise. Generous takeout and quick service make it a go-to for weekday lunches and traditions, though front-of-house service and appetizer consistency can vary. Some diners note isolated surroundings and limited security, and a few criticize crab rangoon, egg rolls or portion sizing. Overall, solid, homey cooking that keeps patrons returning despite occasional service and ambiance issues.

Usually food is great but tonight it was really oily made me sick to my stomach.
This is our go-to Chinese restaurant for this area. They have consistently good food and quick service. We have a tradition of getting it for lunch on Christmas day.
My family and I order food from here almost every Saturday, and it's always fantastic! The delicious flavors never fail to brighten my day.
The food here is excellent. I've been a regular for a couple of years, but unfortunately, the service from the woman at the front leaves much to be desired. The two guys in the kitchen are always friendly and greet me whenever I visit. There was also a younger guy at the cash register who was nice as well. However, despite my fondness for the food, I find the service and atmosphere unpleasant whenever the woman is there. I shouldn't feel like I'm bothering her every time I’m just trying to support their business. Friendly service makes a huge difference.
