Peking - Indianapolis
Peking
Description
Hidden local favorite, this unassuming Chinese spot draws a loyal following for consistently fresh, flavorful dishes—beef and broccoli, shrimp fried rice and chicken lo mein earn regular praise. Generous takeout and quick service make it a go-to for weekday lunches and traditions, though front-of-house service and appetizer consistency can vary. Some diners note isolated surroundings and limited security, and a few criticize crab rangoon, egg rolls or portion sizing. Overall, solid, homey cooking that keeps patrons returning despite occasional service and ambiance issues.

We ordered takeout from here for the first time last night, and everything was excellent. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the portion sizes were quite generous. We'll definitely be ordering from here again soon.
The experience wasn't bad at all. While the decor and presentation didn't stand out, the food was delicious, freshly prepared, and reasonably priced. I would definitely visit again.
This is the best Chinese food I've had in 20 years here in Indianapolis. Don't be misled by the reviews for Dragon House in Fishers. This restaurant is definitely worth the 45-minute drive!
