Visited this past Friday night for our 2nd time ever. The hostess was great, as was our waitress. We got a great table at an open window in the bar area. A couple odd things though that I thought could’ve been handled better: I ordered the trout special and it came out the first time pretty undercooked. It was almostraw. Brought this to our waitress’ attention and she apologized and took it away to have a new piece cooked. My wife meanwhile was eating her black bean burger as I watched . My wife also asked for salsa for her burger. Anyway, the new fish was brought out and cooked well. Agree or disagree, but when you serve raw fish to a customer and have to do it over, it obviously disrupts the dining experiencenot to mention kind of grossing me out. But either way, I would think a small discount our a free dessert, or drinkor something would have been done to offset the inconvenience. The thing I wouldn’t dois charge an additional .50 cents for a cup of salsawhich happened. Anyway, I would still recommend this restaurantbut am suggesting a couple tweaks with how they handle normal inconveniences. We were originally told the wait would be 45 60 minutes, so we spent some time browsing the adorable vintage shop next door but to our surprise, our table was ready in just 30 minutes. Service was quick and friendly, and everything we ordered was delicious. We tried the kid’s grilled cheese, chicken focaccia sandwich with crispy sorghum Brussels, brisket grilled cheese, and a bacon grilled cheese with tomato bisque. (I’ve included a photo of the chicken focaccia with Brussels sprouts. What really stood out was how family friendly this place is. They had a huge stack of high chairs and were incredibly kind and accommodating to our two toddlers, which made the experience even better. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere we’ll definitely be back! Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

As we waited at the hostess stand, the hostess acknowledged us and told us she would be back after seating the couple before us. The owner and his assistant came in about the same time and also acknowledgedus and said someone would be right with us. We appreciated the acknowledgment. The food and drinks were excellent as well. Wewill definitely come back, and we are from Ohio.

The staff was wonderful... read more We took a friend here for her birthday and had a great time. Pasta was alright, the tacos and the brisket grilled cheese was fantastic. The staff was wonderful and took our picture after we sang happy birthday. The cake was decadent. We'll definitely beback.
