I have always loved Bynum's. If you want a good business luncheon (very quite) or just to have a quiet dinner, this is the place. There is never a wait usually (even on a Friday night), and the Prime Rib is the best in town and so reasonable for the amount that you get. It's great! I've only had one bad experience there and it was when they were very busy and the prime rib was a little dry, however, they brought a ne... View all feedback.
What Tom Oliver doesn't like about Bynum's Steakhouse:
This restaurant seems to pride itself in the displeased and enraged customer. While the food is almost mediocre, the service is absolutely terrible. Came here while we were in town from Ohio and we were blown away. Such a cute homey feel, great family like customer service, and the food was amazing!
This was my first time at this place! Food was absolutely phenomenal! I ordered my steak medium well and it had so much flavor! The lobster was fresh and well seasoned! Our waitress Cassie was prompt and attentive.
You have to try the Prime Rib if you visit this restaurant. Make sure to come hungry!
I have dined at all the top steakhouses in Indianapolis, and I believe Bynum's offers the best value. They don't charge extra for sides, and their portion sizes are quite generous. While it may not have the ambiance of the downtown establishments, that's perfectly okay with me.
I hadn't visited this restaurant since I moved to Indianapolis in 1993. Recently, friends invited us to the location south of Indy—though I can't recall the town—and I was a bit skeptical. To my surprise, the food was outstanding. The steaks were so tender that they didn't even require a knife, and the French onion soup was fantastic. I guess I'll need to make a trip back to Indy just to stop by Bynum's again. It’s definitely worth it!
