Agave Sunset Lounge - INDIAN WELLS

I dined here on the first night of my trip and had the seafood pasta while my wife tried the whole fried snapper. We also ordered the drunken chorizo cheese dip, corn chowder, and onion soup. The cheese dip was the least impressive dish; it wasn’t very warm and lacked variety in flavor. However, everything else was quite good. The fried fish was perfectly cooked and a generous portion. The pasta needed a bit more salt, but it was still tasty. Both soups were fantastic, although they were served in very small portions. I'm glad to have this restaurant available at my hotel for the next three nights of my stay.

Considering that most visitors are in vacation mode, I believe the ratings tend to be higher here. We had a great experience at this restaurant. There were seven of us—four adults and three children—who came in for a late dinner after a long day of driving to our hotel. Our server was incredibly friendly and amusing. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name, but he was fantastic. He created customized menus for the kids, brought in dessert from the café next door since they weren't serving any, and offered excellent beer recommendations along with prompt drink service. The food was also superb. The children's meals were generous and well-prepared. The salad was nicely done as well. I have no complaints at all. We will definitely be back!

I then asked another server for water, and they told me they would bring my server over. Again, our server did not come back. Next, I approached the host to request some water, and she told me I had to ask my server. I explained that I had already asked two different people for water and received the same response. Finally, someone managed to refill our water in under two minutes. A different server eventually came to our table and asked if everything was okay. I expressed my dissatisfaction because my meal—a medium ribeye steak—had been forgotten. I ended up canceling my order. It's disappointing that my experience didn't match the many positive reviews I had read before visiting.

The food was disappointing. I ordered a Caesar salad, and it was the most pitiful and unappetizing salad I've ever seen. Such a letdown!

Then, I asked another server for some water, and she also said she would get my server. Again, there was no sign of her. I finally approached the host to request water, and she told me I needed to ask my server. I explained that I had already asked two different staff members for water, and they had given me the same response. Eventually, someone came over and refilled our water in less than two minutes. Finally, another server checked on us and asked if everything was okay. I had to respond that it was not, as I still hadn’t received my meal—a ribeye steak cooked medium. At that point, I decided to cancel my order. It’s disappointing that my experience did not match the high praise I had read in other reviews.
