Contribute FeedbackMelo's Italian Restaurant has quickly garnered a reputation as a must-try dining destination in Melbourne. Owners Carmelo and Lisa are the heart of this establishment, ensuring a personal touch with each visit. Guests rave about the authentic Italian dishes, from expertly prepared seafood to delectable cannoli, all served in a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels like home. While some patrons note the fixed menu structure and seating arrangements could use flexibility, the consistently high-quality food, reasonable prices, and attentive service make for an enjoyable experience. Melo's is more than just an Italian restaurant; it’s a culinary experience worth savoring.
Incredible! Everything is made fresh by Carmelo, from his homemade bread to his homegrown basil. It's absolutely luxurious.
My family visited this restaurant for the first time the night before the Melbourne Marathon. We were extremely pleased with the food quality. The prices were reasonable, although a little bit of flexibility with a $100 bill wouldn't hurt. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.
Three of us went to Melos after 9:00 on a Sunday and received a warm welcome as if it were still early evening. Everything we ordered, from the hot breadcake to the fresh salad and expertly prepared curls of fresh shrimp, was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant. The prices were fair for the high quality of food, and the service was excellent.
Great Italian. My Hubby and I enjoyed Melos very much!!! We were in Italy and were very surprised to have a meal right from Italy!!!! The atmosphere, music, staff, food, wine... it is the real thing!!! Very recommended!!!
Good, Not Great.. We have been to Melo 's 4 times in the last year in our search for a good Italian restaurant in Melbourne area. This place jumped high on my list after the first visit. Food is good, service is excellent. The main room is pleasant. We have enjoyed the early bird menu and the other items are fairly priced as well. However, I do not like the rigidity of the menu structure. No substitutions. I also dislike the lack of large round tables. We have been there with a total party of 6 and a party of 8. and they place us at a long table. I do not like their Well Drink selections...ultra low end. The wait staff recognizes us, but the owners never come over. That wouldn 't happen in a New York environment. The owner/operator would know us by the second visit and check on our satisfaction level. I am going to continue my search.
