What User doesn't like about Rogue River Taproom:
We arrived for our 6:30 reservation to celebrate my partner's birthday, only to find that the restaurant had gone out of business the day before! We were all dressed up, coming in from the city, and left without a venue for his 76th birthday celebration! View all feedback.
Always Great Everytime we Dine at Rogue... Great Service
This is a place you want to try. Excellent food to go with a great selection of brews. Owners clearly understand restaurant service.
Brought my from-out-of-town relatives and a local couple who are friends to meet each other here. So we were a party of six. My relatives said their short rib dinners were absolutely delicious, probably one of their top ten favorite meals ever. My husband had the same and raved about it. My half rack of ribs with bbq sauce was fall off the bone tender and so flavorful! One had the Hanger steak and loved it. The only negative comment was on the under brick chicken. She said it was okay, but not anything special. We had exceptional service, even though I’d been told earlier today that they were short staffed. Their knowledge of the beers and wines is extensive and they offer samples if you’re unsure which you’d prefer. The music was eclectic, mostly enjoyable, but at a sound level we could still talk and hear each other. An excellent evening all around.
Lovely experience. The food choices were unique and our selections were exceptionally good. The service was great. No complaints. We will be coming back!
Awesome appetizers — we enjoyed Devils on Horseback and amazing deviled eggs with onion jam bacon. Their Devils on Horseback are truly unique, served with goat cheese, teensy carrot slices a slice of jalapeño (no seeds — which, we were advised, are meant to be eaten all at once, “like savages.” Kind of an eye-popping, fire-breathing appetizer... very enjoyable! And the deviled eggs were pretty amazing too : Salads — I ordered a lovely salad of mixed baby greens, goat cheese balsamic dressing, and it was divine! My husband had a spinach salad, which he liked very much — our server Peter was very patient and didn’t roll his eyes when my husband asked for a customized spinach salad with goat cheese and Caesar dressing. Btw the Caesar dressing was homemade and really delicious! Entrees — I ordered red snapper with a (lemon? butter sauce and green beans. Excellent! My husband ordered the short ribs, which were served on top of mashed potatoes, and a side of Brussels sprouts, which were good (although I thought the portion was a bit small . All the other portions were quite generous. Dessert — we shared a slice of what passes for “key lime pie” in central Florida, kind of a light fluffy version which was delicious. Crust was graham cracker, and it was served with real whipped cream and sprinkled with grated white chocolate. I love real key lime pie, but this was an delicious new twist on the old standard! Can’t wait to try this place again — love the eclectic menu and nice wine choices!
