Palki Khana is the best place to have a meal after a tiring day of seeing the beautiful city palace. It is usually bustling with people so you have to be lucky enough to get a table. The staff is courteous and friendly. Food is really good. We ordered fresh lime soda, gingerale, garlic bread and shepherd's pie. Fresh lime was made to perfection with the right amount of ice. The portion sizes were good enough. This is... View all feedback.
What Amrit Preet Singh doesn't like about Palki Khana:
Extremely disappointed. Lazy menu, almost no choices. The food is the most standard, inauthentic fare you will find anywhere. Mint ice tea was just sugar syrup with nothing natural whatsoever. And they take only cash, making some excuse about network coverage. Is clearly another of the many, many places in Udaipur that are so used to getting customers that they just don't care. What a place it is to have some ethnic taste just sitting in the compound of great city palace. Ambience is really good and peaceful along with good staff. In food, pasta, sandwiches and specially their pizza are really great and mouth watering.

One of my fav places in the city... Has great food n ambience... Overlooking the city palace it's an great place to have lunch and try their pastas n sandwiches... I personally love the rajma chawal n pav bhaji too!!!
Palki Khanna, located inside the City Palace complex in Udaipur. This casual café offers an authentic mix of foods, with an emphasis on western café food. I odered pizza with beer and the taste was just amazing though I love spicy but sometimes foreign taste oas also good .Palki Khanna is a great spot to take a break from sightseeing and sip on some cold beer . With amazing outdoor seating for eating where you can watch the nightly sound-and-light of the place
What works for them is the location n the promise of a chilled beer. Hate the fact that they no longer serve the famed heritage liqueurs and are not even bothered about it. That was the main draw for us outsiders forever. The hummus portion was nice but small, and the decently done thin crust pizza again not enough for two. Ordered the strictly avoidable bombay sandwich just to round off the meal before a day of exploring the city. Go for beer or a cool tall drink... the rest isn't done with too much elan, at least not for the price
