Description

Nestled in Independence, this lively sports bar boasts an inviting atmosphere with two expansive bars, making it ideal for happy hour or casual dining. Diners rave about the delicious buffalo chicken salad and hearty tavern fare, complemented by attentive, friendly staff. However, some experiences are marred by concerns over hygiene and aggressive service, particularly during closing hours. Despite these mixed reviews, the bar's lively ambiance and unique touches like a resident iguana create a memorable outing. A suggestion for the menu to cater more to low-carb diets would enhance the experience, appealing to a wider range of patrons.

Very disorganized hostessing. A 50 minute wait with 8 tables open and still got pushed back another 15 min while others got seated who arrived after us. Some persistent complaining and discussion got us seated around 34 min into it, but waited 45 min for our order to come out. The food and drinks were too mediocre for that kind of wait. Service: Dine in

I've been coming here since the 1990's. The Lizard has been the most consistent bar/family restaurant in northeast Ohio for the last 35 years. It's a mainstay, it's a standard and you can count on it. Tons of great beers from all over the world, lots of different drafts, there's something for everyone. I recommend the Bo-mans bacon cheeseburger with the preferred fries and their bbq sauce. Lots of TV's, great place to watch a game or have a party. Good to go solo for lunch and a beer, like I said there's something for everyone.

We wanted a sports bar in Independence, and sure enough, there were 6 screens in the long, narrow, back bar alone. Not too conducive to deep conversation, but we chose a sports bar, so I didn’t really expect it. Food was good, definitely above decent! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

We always visit the Independence location when we come to Cleveland for a concert. Great bar area. The draft beer we drank is always crisp and cold, just the ticket. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
