For breakfast you can choose the buffet or order from the menu; both are very favorable. There was plenty of food and the bacon was perfectly cooked. The view was fabulous. The staff was very attentive and tried for our breakfast. View all feedback.
What Jane Allen doesn't like about Territory:
Service was extremely slow on a Monday for lunch! Our waiter forgot to order my sandwich which took an extra 20 minutes. No water refills, no compensation for a late meal and he kept my change !Not happy with todays service! View all feedback.

Very nice dining experience. A great place to go for a nice dinner date. View of the Willamette from the covered back deck was a pleasant addition to dining experience. We started with appetizers. The brussel sprouts were amazing and the portion was huge. Could make it a meal all by itself. We also ordered the tamarind spiced wings, which were a disapointment when compared to the brussel sprout dish. Not a lot of flavor in the wings but the addes goat cheese dipping sauce was a pleasent addition to accompany the wings. For the meal, she ordered the frence dip. The sandwich was superb but was lacking the salty and savory addition of the au jus as custimary for this meal. It was instead served with a rosemary infused oil dipping sauce that was too rich for this sandwich. The smoked gouda, carmelized onions and sauted mushrooms went superbly in the sandwich. I ordered the triple pig burger for my meal. It was an outstanding combination of pork loin, pork belly, and sweet and spicy bacon. The perfectly toasted ciabatta roll combined with the excellent combination of pork, cheese, slaw and secret sauces, made each bite worth the trip. Each meal came with fries that were eerily similar to the frozen shoestring fries you make yourself at home. An attempt to uplevel the side was made by adding sea salt and chopped parsley to the fries. They were good but not great in my opinion (wife loved them). Overall, the meal was priced well for the quality of food and service you receive. Staff was very pleasant and attentive. I would highly recommend a trip to Independence to try it yourself, I dont think you will be disappointed, I know we will be back (I had my eye on the newly added Coq Au Vin or the cajun mac and cheese).
The Territory is a stunning bistro that features handcrafted tables made with native Oregon trees, lovely fireplaces, a full-service bar, farm-to-table delicious food, and wonderful customer service. The Territory is sure to make any event (date night, birthdays, anniversarys, or a casual lunch or dinner memorable. It's located at the back end of The Independence Hotel and overlooks the Willamette River. Dine-in or place an order to go for pick up (no curb service. There is seating indoors, and outdoors under the Atrium Glass Patio or outer patio tables facing the river. Walkins and reservations (for A table -not a specific table accepted, masks required to enter, restrooms available, cash plastic accepted for purchase.
The best elderberry old fashion I have ever tasted. The bartender is tops! Gorgeous views and plenty of covered outdoor seating.
This is a really pretty venue. You have the choice of sitting inside (at a table or bar) by a fireplace, sit in the adjoining all glass atrium or dine outside. Lots of seating options all with beautiful views of the Willamette river. The restaurant is part of The Independence Hotel and , there are tables on their roof that have even better views. I'm not sure if you can order from up there though. There are lots of good local beer and wine options and hard liquor as well. Food prices were a little on the high end. Most dishes were either $15 or $25. Lots of good appetizers. I've had their steak, fish and chips and Salmon. They were all very good with excellent presentation. The staff were all very friendly. This is one of the best places to take an out of town friend or relative.
