Starduster Cafe Inc. - Independence

Traditional cafe serves fantastic breakfasts at the small local airport. My cheese crepe and hashbrowns were excellent. Service was great. Fun to observe how airplanes get out and look into the hangers as we ate. They have seats in the indoor and outdoor areas and accept orders.

You get HUGE portions (more than one person could ever eat). And the service is phenomenal. And the food is good. The potatoes are somehow the hard side that I like them. The only thing I found a little weird. Is that there cinnamon rolls in pans in the window covers while you go to the bathroom. So literally someone could touch them. But they looked delicious. I'm not a germ ophobe. So it didn't bother me too much. But it's kind of weird. Also, they do not mask. What bothers me again. But it could interfere with other people.

This is by far my favorite place in Indy/Monmouth/Dallas/Salem combined. Although I could be a bit of part because I LOVE Breakfast Food. The portions are HUGE (to share with the family above). Prices are very reasonable, especially given the amount of food you receive. Sit or go, you can't fail here.

A little jewel hidden from the airport. Classic Diner fare perfectly made, highly recommended.

In my opinion, the best place to get breakfast in Independence, but seating is a bit limited. Outdoor seating is available during summer. Eat and watch the plethora of interesting aircraft flying in and out of the airport.
