This ihop is so dumb I showed up with my family to eat on 10/22 and we had to wait 10 minutes no problem but then 2 other families showed up after we did and then they proceed it to seat them down first it is first come first served in this economybusiness are having trouble bringing in business you would thing that the business you do have you want to treat well and servewell I will be contacting corporate on this matter.
Visited this location on Saturday. We were pleased with *almost every aspect. Food was phenomenal; hot and delicious! We ended up with a bum server, Jaidyn, who snuck off to the bathroom in avoidance and forgot multiple times when we asked for refills. The other servers on staff that day deserve a medal! They were picking up the slack and serving us when it wasn't even theirjob. I would go again as long as we didn't get the same server.
First of all, the food was very good. The Mrs. had a 55+ triple something and I had chicken and waffles, hash browns and a side of whole grain toast dry. At one time I think I counted 10 workers but it still took way too long to get coffee. The employeeswere audibly arguing about who spilled the coffee. Everyone in the restaurant heard it. For 5 minutes raised voices. They werestill complaining when we left (there was a Manager on site). They sing for birthdays, not a fan. Like I said, good food(pricey for breakfast) but not good enough to overcome all the negatives. Been 2 years since I ate there, guess it will beanother 2...maybe.
My experience on Sunday evening, October 9 from 9:30 pm to 11:30 pm at the Valley View Pkwy location in Independence, MO was exceptional! The young woman who greeted me and sat me at a booth was a positive, upbeat individual with a wonderful smile (Ithink her name was Trish, maybe Tish? My server who is Alex was fantastic! He was attentive, kind, and thoughtful. He didnot hover, but he checked on me regularly. I had hot tea and ice water to drink, and he was quick to replenish my beverages. Hemet and exceeded all of my hopes (I worked my way through college as a server and as a teacher, I continued to work summers inthe restaurant industry so I appreciate how demanding the job can be . My food was perfectly cooked and delicious (breakfastfor dinner fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, over medium eggs and hollandaise sauce Bravo to the cook who was on duty . I am ateacher (this is my 48th year and needed a good meal and a quiet place to grade a stack of composition papers. This was anideal situation! I left a generous tip 80% because the service was truly that excellent. Since the pandemic, it ischallenging to find such outstanding customer service. I will be back. (Oh, and the music was fantastic as well mostly 60'sand 70's tunes
