When we co... read more My daughter and I visited this restaurant around 7 PM, and it was truly disappointing. The staff were incredibly rude, and we were served burnt ribs. When we complained, the person in the back was unhelpful and seemed disinterested in his job. The onion rings were also burnt, and the fries were cold and hard. This was the second time we had a bad experience here, and we spent $100 on what felt like inedible food. It’s frustrating to spend that much money and still leave hungry. Additionally, the staff should be more professional; using inappropriate language in front of customers is very disrespectful. Overall, this experience was not worth it, and I will not be returning. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of care for customers. You've lost my business for good.

Set up... read more I continue to support this black business because I grew up with this business. Today I go into the independence location finally only two folks in line. Set up coming in the door never works the way it's posted. I order the Sunday special plus add two bones for $10.50. Person taking the order turns her back on you then you have to ask did you get my order. I understand sista it's been a long day but you have to grin and keep going. I pay cashier hands me my bag saying have a good day. I'm almost to door and person taking order yells out excuse me you don't have your two bones. So I turn around and stand and stand and stand. My two bones are sitting next to her while she fixing someone else's order so I stand and stand. Then I ask the cashier is that my order and cashier turns and says yes. Lady taking order said I got it wait a minute to cashier I stand and stand then lady taking order turns with orders stacked on top of each other of course my order on the bottom. What happen to Gates since Mr. Gates stepped down come on we got to get this together. Folks are rating Q39 as best place in KC for BBQ.
