Alebrijes Mexican Bistro

While the servers were friendly, I found the service slowly and inconspicuous with the servers from the side that spoke to each other. While the time I visited was not busy, I waited for my food under time. The food itself was good. In the large area of Reno-Tahoe, I did not find dinner with mexican merit. The only Mexican restaurants of merit were the hole-in-the-wall type and they were great.

By far the best Mexican food I had during the trip to the USA. I drove 5600 miles from the time I came here and ate in about 12 different Mexican places. I highly recommend them. Your menu is exclusive. Nothing here reminds you of the standard burrito taco enchilada decisions of the thousands. It is a very unique menu with many vegetarian decisions and friendly service. This is a must on your list in Tahoe. Come here for an afternoon Fiesta after swimming in the lake all day and dry on their outdoor seating. The best Mojito, too. She ground the mint for at least 90 seconds.

This place was an absolute hidden gem. We drove by randomly and decided to give it a shot. A great authentic family-owned Mexican restaurant with great food. Never have we seen such friendly and caring owners. 100% recommended.

Great place! Must try when you visit Tahoe. Everyone on our table was enthusiastic and happy with their food. The story behind the name and theme of the restaurant and food is a must to hear. Great experience everywhere.

Not only the food is great, but people are amazingly nice and hospitable! My group arrived at 8:15 and didn't know they were closing at 9:00. When we found out and asked them if they were sure that we could stay, they assured us that we were welcome and said we would take time. Great margaritas too!
