We were in IB for a week and came to eat here twice. This place has some great menu offers and great service. I had the Governador Tacos and Aguachile Verde, which was delicious. Guacamole, chips and salsa were great. We also had a variety of their Ceviche tostadas between the two visits and were impressed by everything we ate. Overall a good first experience. It was a block from our hotel so we decided to try it for lunch. The outdoor seating area is really nice with some space. Service was great. Our (surfing and turf and shrimp) tacos were good, but my might have used more spices/sauce. And our rice and beans were cold.
This is a fantastic restaurant with delicious food and excellent service! I absolutely love the deep-fried snapper! By far, they serve the best chiladas in Imperial Beach!
During our week in IB, we visited this restaurant twice and were thoroughly impressed. The menu boasts fantastic options, and the service is excellent. I tried the Gobernador Tacos and Aguachile Verde, both of which were delicious. The guacamole, chips, and salsa were also outstanding. Across our two visits, we sampled various Ceviche tostadas and were delighted with everything we tried. If you're in search of authentic Mexican Mariscos (seafood), this is the spot in IB. My son enjoyed the chicken enchiladas as well. On our second visit, we had a stunning view of the ocean, which made our meal even more enjoyable. They offer cold beer and tasty margaritas. We highly recommend it!
The dishes featured lime, cilantro, and sour cream, and they didn't serve beans with our meal, but everything was absolutely delicious! The portion sizes were generous, although it was a bit pricey, which is to be expected for a beachside location. I do wish they were open later. The servers were very pleasant, too.
The food was fresh, tasty, and authentic.I had calamari, beans, guac and chips. The guac was freshly made, but might have been spiced for us gringos. We added their delicious salsa and some salt and pepper and it was perfect. My sweetie had a hot, spicy shrimp soup. They have a large menu, including seafood, traditional Mexican dishes, and breakfast (I believe until 1pm). One of us ordered a mixed drink and it was delicious and nicely presented. They have outdoor, covered patio seating and pleasant music. The service staff were pleasant, prompt, and busily making sure things were tidy and clean when they were not serving customers. The prices are quite reasonable. Parking was easy today (Sunday) but Imperial Beach can be crowded sometimes. It was our first visit, but we will return and bring friends next time and a bigger appetite! Next time I will try the shrimp ceviche and enchiladas. The IB pier is a short walk from the restaurant. See you again soon!
