The Pizza Peel - Illinois

My favorite place. The calzone is amazing. The dough, sauce, and cheese are so good. Everyone is so friendly. I'd eat here every day if I could.

Split a large calzone and took home the apple calzone for dessert.

I used to love this place when I was younger and was excited to see that they had vegan cheese now that I don't eat dairy anymore. Had a pizza with vegan cheese and it was amazing!! Can only give 4 stars though cause they haven't had vegan cheese the last 4 times we've tried to order. Hope they get some again soon!

First time at the Pizza Peel and I forgot to take pictures! Since I'm not a local I didn't know exactly where to go in (up, down, wherever? but down is the correct answer. Kristen was our waitress and provided excellent service. Since the wife and I had never been, we took her recommendations. Maybe a bit overboard with cheese bread, two small pizzas and a calzone.
