nice eating. for 8.30, was not quite sure when we had 'for how we had to visit a presentation, but they held the table of 6.30, which was somehow of them, as they were busy playing with england in the world cup. we ordered the chicken cake, the new yorker burger, the lasagne and the chicken of the hunter. everything thoroughly delicious and pleasant. they need to find out what table ordered, what as eating from table... awful food and terrible personal, seems a lot a local pub if they don't seem too interested from the contrary they don't seem too much. Previously being good here, now sad not so, others then the staff, eating is also bad, it was quite funny to watch the cook try to cut the bark on the carvery, he had to finally give up! Decent food for reasonable prices. Not many wait staff on meaning it took 1 hour from ordering to getting our main meal and another 35 minutes afterward finishing the meal for dessert. Staff were polite and courteous though.
It was a lovely meal for my dad's 85th birthday .the meal was lovely .my only negatives were my steamed pud had to go back as it was stone cold and there was no turkey at carvery and the replacement was a very rubbery chicken breast .I shared my views with another diner who said the same .service let the experience down .I went to the bar as my wine glass was dirty and they were too busy to change it .I don't blame them I didn't ask as they were busy serving .I've worked as a waitress so I know how they feel it's just the little things that let it down. We like the place and it's clean and value for money and we will be back the carvery is excellent so all in all 4* which is very good .thank you for having us .we will be back ...
The carvery was lovely to say it was only 4pm so it wouldn’t have been as fresh, but it tasted really good
