I came here to taste... read more Somiatruites is a restaurant located in the surroundings of Igualada, close to the leather museum. This town is in the center of Catalonia. I came here to taste a daily menu and the rate quality/price was excellent. I ate a tomato, beetroot and hard-boiled egg gazpacho as first dish, broad beans Catalan style with cuttlefish and sausages as main dish, and matcha tea, rose and orange textures as dessert. All fantastic. I drank a glass of white wine and a glass of red wine from Penedès Region, which are good and a coffee at the end. The place is fantastic, and the decoration is very nice. The restaurant is also very trendy and innovative, working the traditional elements in a modern way; warm and comfortable, near to the old town.
