Preparing fresh, authentic Italian cuisine takes time, but I didn't mind waiting at all—it was perfectly cooked. There's an extensive selection of wine and drinks, as well as a large dessert menu. I thoroughly enjoyed my romantic dinner with my partner. It was definitely worth it!

I had the lobster ravioli and there were some of the best I had! The decor and atmosphere is beautiful! Try it in Idyllwild!

I had Veal Marsala and... read more This is a semi-formal (tablecloths, but jean/shorts ok) Italian restaurant in the middle of the village Idylwild. The food was excellent. I had Veal Marsala and my wife had spinach/cheese ravioli. That said the service was somewhat slow and less attentive to a lazy Tuesday afternoon, and its excellent bread basket was only half full to begin and a refill was hard to come. The dessert menu was the mouthwater; even though we passed it. If you are ever in Idylwild, Fratellos is an excellent, in fact probably your best choice, but willing to be patient.

Danny chose the lamb shank special, which had wonderful flavors, but it was slightly overcooked. Our waitress, Diane, was excellent! The live music was fantastic. I absolutely love this place!
