Donatello's At Marion Forks - Idanha

Pizza is better than chain places, but if you're eating here it's for the atmosphere. The sounds of the river are amazing and it's perfect for a lunch date.

Donatellos is one of the very few places to eat where we live. We get so excited when they open since it’s seasonal. The Burgers are amazing. Pizza fresh toppings and everything is in larger portions than you would get anywhere else. I know the staff drive a long way since the restaurant is basically in the middle of no where but no matter what they are always super friendly and you can tell they work really hard. If you’re thinking of stopping here do it! Support the local business and definitely sit out back, it’s beautiful and you will probably see a humming bird or two :

We stopped here heading home from a camping trip in Central Oregon. It is a very nice place that isn't very busy. It was a very laid back place in a mountain setting, but nice and clean. It was good to stop before hitting the much busier area past Detroit Lake when you want a warm meal heading home. We sat outside by the river, it was a perfect place to sit and enjoy a meal. We had fried zucchini (I would have been satisfied at that, because it was so good) and a 12 inch pizza that was made just the way I like my pizza, thin crust, cheesy and perfect amount of toppings. This place is a gem! Looking forward to stopping again when I cross the mountains!

Growing up in OR driving this road for 50-plus years, we have never stopped always talk about how anyone could ever survive running this restaurant so far out . Yesterday we had a chance to meet family there for lunch and from now on will plan more stops as it was a really good meal There were 6 of us we had a large pizza, which 5 shared, and it was Very good. Also had great large side salads. And a burger fries . Stop especially if it is nice enough to sit outside by the river Service was great, view was best, and now wished we would have gotten one of their cookies or brownies for drive home .

I’m so happy we had some time to make this stop. This will be a new stopping point in the future. Everyone was incredibly friendly. Food was hot and fresh and delicious. The large salad is big enough to feed an entire family! Happy we have some to take home! The chicken bacon ranch wrap is what I got and it’s now a new favorite! The cook was super friendly and took time to visit a minute and welcome us. We sat out on the patio and had such a beautiful and peaceful lunch!! Can’t wait to go back again!
