I absolutely adore this restaurant; we’ve been coming here for years! The staff is always friendly, and the food is delicious. I typically order from the children's menu or the American menu, but I can't get enough of the Mucho Nacho—it's the best and comes with all the toppings! What User doesn't like about Plum Loco:
We used to be regular customers, but after our most recent visit, we’ve decided to eat somewhere else. The fries were overcooked and tasted like old oil. The prices were way too high for what we received—$10 for a medium nacho plate that only had about 6 chips, and the $14 Plum Loco burrito was mostly beans and rice, with very little sauce and meat. Used to like this place and the food is still good. Service and atmosphere were also good. But when they took my ticket to the table and I read it, there was a 75 cent credit card fee in the total. So I passed paid cash and if I hadn't read the lines on the ticket, they would probably have only had to pay the sum in the register. It is NOT ok to charge a credit card fee on ALL tickets whether they are cash or card. I took her in the register.
Been going here for 30+ years, through several owners. The most recent owner tried to change things, thinking more is better. More is not better. They put to much cheese on everything thinking they were improving items that didn't need improving. They are getting it figured out.
I have always liked this place but probably won't be back .Today the waitress(skinny gray hair lady) was awful. From the minute she seated us she was put out. She was rude and even more put out when she had to make margarita. We watched her behave like this everytime she seated a new customer. It was very rude! The previous owner would never have allowed customers to be treated this way. What a shame.
Plum loco does really food most everytime! Have great food, great drinks, and can bring the whole family. I enjoy the much nacho, but the chicken chimichanga is the best!! Have came here for many many years!
The Restaurant was clean and not very loud. We went around lunch and were seated immediately. And that's honestly the reason they even received two stars from me. We order and got our food within 10 minutes or so. I unwrapped my utensils and there was dried food stuck to the knife. I was honestly disgusted. Almost just left because who knew what could be under the food on our plates. The worst part about that is that somebody had to roll a fork and a knife up in a napkin. So how did they not see that. It wasn't even a small piece but had pieces flaking off of it still so it would've been noticable. The food was mediocre. My chicken Chimichanga was quite dry and it's only saving Grace was dousing it in the salsa or taking a bite with the beans and rice. It's not a horrible place but please check your utensils and plates before eating from them.
