After a long 13-hour drive from Canada, we stopped in Idaho Falls feeling very hungry. Late at night, we discovered Blue Wave and decided to give it a try. When we arrived, they informed us that the grill had already been turned off, but they were genuinely apologetic about it. They provided us with a menu of other food options they could prepare and even treated us to an incredible fries sundae as a gesture of goodw... View all feedback.
What Matt Olander doesn't like about Blue Wave:
Decent food. Little under staffed, but who isn’t these days. I would skip the fries and go for the tots. Family’s are welcome until 10 pm. Over 21 after 10. Prices seemed fair for the amount of food.Food: 3/5 View all feedback.
Great lunch, Pastrami Burger is just the best with a mountain of the Pommes and a cold drink. Our server was patient and helpful and the food was fast and wonderful. Park around the corner to avoid traffic on Rollandet and if you sit on a pool table, keep your head out of the way.
If you are from out of town I recommend coming here for a burger they are so good. You cannot go wrong they have one with it that has peanut butter and jelly on it and with all the mixture it is so good.
Great brew pub with homemade burgers and fresh cut fries. You will not go hungry here as they have very large portions.
First thing I'll say is the bathroom is scary as hell. Would recommend going potty before you get there somewhere where drunk dudes aren't peeing all over the floor amd toilet .It also states they serve families and just know it's more heavy on the bar scene than a family friendly restaurant. Like at the least expect to hear foul language. Those things aside.. DAMN THE BURGERS ARE GOOD. The food was amazing, was impressed about that. Burgers are my favorite food and it was a pleasure to try out this local hole in the wall joint. Steven is a great server too!! See if he's there whenever you visit.
This place is definitely on the lower end of what’s considered a dive. I will say that the woman who was the bartender at the time was very friendly and made one of the best vodka lemonades I’ve ever had. Those went down dangerously smoothly, and I couldn’t even tell they had vodka in them until I started to feel it. Unfortunately that’s about all the good I have to say. Parking is limited and just about everything in here was dirty, from the floors to the walls and countertops. Figured I’d still give it a shot and order some food since I’ve found some hidden gems like this before; unfortunately this was not one of those places. The food came out and was very bland. Not only was it unseasoned, but the very few items on the menu itself were just boring and unappealing with such little variety. For example I ordered some sort of a spicy burger (not on the menu anymore) and all it came with was jalapeños and a slice of pepper jack cheese, plus lettuce, pickle, and onion on the side. No sauces or seasonings or anything to make it stand out (see photo below).
