Finca Sommerwind - Ibarra

Wonderful place, Hans is super friendly and a wealth of information. Showers are hot and clean, potable water available and the wifi is strong. Lovely location too, couldn't fault this place it's a beacon of light.

We had a great time at Finca Sommerwind. Hans is a super nice and helpful host and the place is a must for any overlander in south america. Not to forget the great curry wurst that is served in the Biergarten.

Lovely place, the owner is a really good person and it is one of the few camper sites in all Ecuador.

A hidden gem. If you look for a place to do camping, or to stay in a tiny house, or a cabin, or if you have a RV/Car camping setup, this is the place. I wanted to camp but they didn’t have the equipment for rental. Bring your own camping equipment. I stayed in the tiny house for 1 night. Cost me $65. Got two beds, and really comfortable. For camping or RV they got 110/220V. They also have a German restaurant, really good place for relaxing with your family. Also got a place for BBQ. Highly recommend.

The most professional spot in northern ecuador . The camping place can be overcrowded some days but Hans , the owner , will manage to get you in...ok you only have 2 toilets and two showers but hot water , internet , a kitchen and a restaurant . The site is beautiful but my favorite are the cottages that you can rent for 30 to 45 a night . Comfort , smasching view and quiet . Go for it !
