One of my best go-to non veg snacks is fried chicken. Been living off the popular QSRs for ages now. So was pleasantly surprised by this new outlet tucked in Madhapur's busy bylanes, offering a fresh brand of fried chicken fare in Hyderabad. Southern Fried Chicken. Franchise from a popular chain from UK, this store offers the usual menu of a QSR but with a delectable twist. To start off with I ordered a full meal of Empire Fillet Burger with potato fries, soda, and Piri Piri Chicken. The best thing about the burger was the fillet. Juicy and fresh chicken fillet, golden fried to perfection. Certainly a stark difference to the frozen and tough chicken in other QSRs. This is a USP as claimed by the brand that they use fresh chicken everyday. The burger felt quite wholesome and went down well with the crisp fries and soda. Next item on the menu, another USP of the place, Piri Piri Chicken. Never have had anything close to this in terms of gastronomic experience. The taste was out of the world. Perfectly char grilled chicken legs and thighs, with a dazzling of secret Piri Piri sauce, served with a dash of lime and pepper sticks. This dish definitely stands out and is one for the ages. You can have it in gradation of spicyness, and I tried the maximum spicy ones. I got to know about this place by the tastefully done metro pillars adverts on the way to the store, riding on the current IPL hysteria. They are running campaigns for promotion in their stores by naming the winning team of their choice on the current running match from the customers and rewarding the winning customers with coupons for repeat visits. Pretty innovative marketing campaign. Even though my team lost, would definitely visit this place again for it's fresh and tasty fare. In the long run, SFC can definitely give the bigger brands a run for their money, if they stick to their core values. Happy Munching! :

The vegetarian burger was crunchy and really yummy. Being a vegetarian I was skeptical about trying out a veggie burger at a chicken joint but to my surprise it was really really delicious.

Yummy Fried Chicken, Love Peri Peri Lemon Herb Flavor. Key differentiating from KFC is using Fresh chicken and not Frozen one which makes Chicken more juicy succulent.Potato wedges are awesome. Ambiance is good enough to relax n to have small get together n Birthday parties as well.

Went with my friends. Had the Empire fillet. Honestly, I've never had a fillet as crispy as this. Better than any other chicken brand I've tried before. Kudos!
