I'm closed for one. we have made a special stop to hyder and stopped by the bus on May 17. it was obviously closed for a LONG time, many have been kovid. the pl... read more I'm closed for one. we have made a special stop to hyder and stopped by the bus on May 17. it was obviously closed for a LONG time, many have been kovid. the place was overridden with weeds, fell apart and had no signs of operations for at least 2 years. the other last reviews of a few months ago are wrong.

I guarantee it will be... read more They may not have gone to Alaska by car, but if they are passing through, they should stop at this hidden gem to satisfy their cravings. I guarantee it will be the best fish dish they have ever tasted. The server is a knowledgeable expert not only on seafood, but also on the surrounding area. They provided us with a helpful guide to the nearby glaciers, salmon fishing spots, and even where to find gold. Yes, there is gold in the river here, and if they are lucky and search diligently, they may just be able to take home a souvenir to declare to Canadian customs.
