The only downside was the long wait time for our meals to arrive. We had plenty of time before my son's UMGC department event at the Marriott, so it didn't pose a problem for us that the meal took an hour and a half to be served. What User doesn't like about The Common College Park Marriott:
The waiter never returned after serving our food. The salmon was dry and lacked sufficient sauce. The same was true for the crab cakes. The steak was decent, but the broccolini was almost raw. On Mother's Day, the waiter failed to take orders from the mothers first and handed the check to my wife instead of me. He seemed completely oblivious to proper etiquette and was not very personable at all. View all feedback.
Birthday of daughter; the administration is incapable; perhaps undermined
The food was really good and the place bounced. problem was that they were understated on a night of play. they worked hard and did their best, but it was impossible to get a server attention. I hope they will check the basketball plan next time!
Slow service and eat quite uninspired. two tables and the waiter was not attentive.
A great place to dine before or after going to Xfinity Center easy in and out, free parking, and a pleasant atmosphere with good food. I recently checked out restaurants in the area for my first visit to Xfinity. The Common was not just the top choice, it was the only spot I found for leisurely sit down dining. My pulled pork sandwich was actively delicious, and the wine list varied. Thanks to our server and the kitchen for a great experience!
The food was great. The service was slow. We were there due to a meeting of about 350 participants. The servers and kitchen should be quicker as this is a conference center. It was surprising that the service was not quick. The server was pleasant and apologetic so perhaps it was a kitchen issue that evening. Yes, I would eat there again!
